Each and every year, Earth Day and Arbor Day serve as a reminder to step outside and remember the beauty and value of our green world. Though we should take a little time to show the natural world a little love, these two days mark special occasions to do so. Today we’re going to be talking about how you can make the most of your Earth Day and your Arbor Day! Let’s jump in!
Celebrate Earth Day by making the world a greener place.
The true spirit of Earth day is all about making an effort to take care of the environment, and there are many ways to do this. The simplest way to celebrate this day is to head outside and simply enjoy your wonderful landscape. You can also spend a little time planting some perennials, annuals, or any other type of plant. Digging down into the dirt and bringing forth some new, green life into your world is a great way to spend your Earth Day. You can also start a new recycling initiative in your home or office, donate to a green cause, or cut down on driving. All of these activities help to preserve the beauty of the Earth!
Arbor day should be spent with trees, of course.
The most traditional way to observe Arbor Day is to plant a tree, but maintenance is a great alternative if you don’t think you can fit another tree into your current landscape. Trees need plenty of love and care to keep them looking their best, which is something that your friends over here at JFK Lawn and Landscape are more than happy to help with!
